Owner Raoul Torrez Jr. comes from a long line of entrepreneurs who’ve served the Valley for decades. His grandparents, Adolpho and Kay Torrez, founded the iconic Azteca Bridal in Central Phoenix. His father, Raoul Torrez Sr., along with Gregory Torrez and Royna Rosell, continued that legacy. Now, Raoul Jr. does the same in diesel and towing instead of tailoring and dresses.

Raoul doesn’t run Freeway Towing alone — he’s joined by his brother, Emilio Torrez, who serves as the company’s Head of Operations.
The two grew up side-by-side on the baseball field and were both featured in the ASU Sun Devil baseball program, where Emilio also earned his bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University.

Raoul Torrez Background
Raoul was born and raised in Phoenix. He attended Brophy College Preparatory. Later, he earned his bachelor’s degree at Arizona State University. While studying, he played Division I baseball for the ASU Sun Devils. He was later selected in the 2010 MLB Draft, playing professionally for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Houston Astros organizations.
After professional baseball, Raoul worked at his cousin Jacob Rosell’s State Farm agency. There, he became a licensed public adjuster. That gave him deep experience with:

- Supporting drivers during the claims process
